I think these folks obviously really care about their cats and kittens. However, they seem to be very biased with assigning pets to people with foreign accents. I applied online and phoned several times. I am a 58 year-old American minister who has made a home in Fife. I intend to stay here the rest of my life. They were reticent on the phone, looking for excuses NOT to let me have an animal. I have owned cats since I was 18. They've all been loved, spoiled, looked after, had regular vet visits and lived to a ripe old age. I tragically belief there was a serious bias here against my nationality. They don't answer phone. Covid has not diminished the urgent need for adoption. It has, however severely diminished Sunny Harbour' s incentive when they're making more money from being "furloghed" than their supposed sacred mission. Very disappointing.

The care received by cats at Sunny Harbour is second to none. Adoption process is smooth and follow up advice is readily available. I would adopt from here again in full confidence that I was fully aware of the cats individual needs and preferences.
They have a huge selection of cat toys & things for other animals too but this is my cats favourite toy from there shop
Sarah and Paul are dedicated to providing outstanding care for the felines in their care. We adopted a beautiful cat from them and they were there to guide us through settling her into the new territory. At our request Paul came back to check that the cat was happy in her environment and we had done everything possible to welcome her. Sarah and Paul are incredible people
Fantastic cat rescue run by a lovely and dedicated team! Sarah and Paul are doing an amazing job. I adopted my cat a few years back and the process has been great. I was particular impressed how much they care about finding the right fit for cats and owners. I fell in love with a particular shy girl and Paul and Sarah encouraged me to come back a few times before taking her home with me. Having had rescue cats since I've been a child it was lovely to see just how much they are personally invested.
Sarah and Paul and all the volunteers do an amazing job at the rescue. They save hundreds of cats a year. We re-homed our cat Luna and they were absolutely fantastic with us. They gave the time to make sure the cat was suitable for our home and were on hand to answer a few queries once we had her home. I always follow their work and would advise anyone looking to re-home a cat to give them a call. They also have a great shop in Lochgelly for all your cat needs.
Absolutely brilliant place to go buy your cat/dog/bird food and support a great charity in the process
Filled in application twice for kittens,and awaited someone getting back to me each time.Found the application a bit too much tbh. Yes ask about the home,but its splitting hairs wether the cat uses a cat flap or a window to go outside.
