Highly recommend Connie to anyone who wants to feel listened to & understood which from my understanding of therapy, is the essence of it, ie analysing underlying issues by listening & asking appropriate questions. Connie is empathetic without being patronising or 'motherly' and her undivided attention felt. Her intuition & ability to carefully summarise your feelings & then re offer them back to you so you can see them in a different way is brilliant. But the real gift I feel she has (and maybe this is just me) is the ability to be listening so well to you, that she voices the precise emotion you are feeling into coherent words, which in itself is sometimes what we need, to make sense of ourselves. Lastly the venue. Its gorgeous. Chelsea townhouse off the Kings Rd that I would happily sit in alone and possibly feel better, then add Connie and it's a winning combination.

I was experiencing recurring panic attacks and I went to a low cost counselling service in Wandsworth. I was assigned to Ms Allfrey. She was a good listener and kind so I continued to see her privately. Although Connie is a lovely person, I feel that the therapy she provided was not useful. I spent approx 2,000 over 2.5 years and I was still having panic attacks. I feel this type of therapy might be useful for someone to feel heard / explore themselves & self reflect but it is not practical when you are struggling with an anxiety disorder. After a diagnosis and a few sessions of CBT under the NHS (which was free), I am already seeing an improvement. I am sad that I wasted so much time and money (when I was in a vulnerable position) on this type of therapy when it was not right for me.
