Always wanted to visit a proper East End pie and mash shop, so made a special point of going to BJ's after The New Scientist Live event. The place was spotlessly clean and the service was very friendly and efficient, with great banter. Me and my brother had a pie, mash and liquor each. We would have gone for two pies each, but stupidly had a lunch earlier. Absolutely brilliant and certainly value for money. Next time I want to try the stewed eels.
