City Gateway Reviews | Rating 2.1 out of 5 stars (8 reviews)

City Gateway is located in London, United Kingdom on 32 Mastmaker Rd. City Gateway is rated 2.1 out of 5 in the category charity in United Kingdom. City Gateway is a charity that partners with young people, women and families in some of London’s communities most impacted by social and economic inequality. Based across two sites in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, we seek to help individuals realise their potential – delivering programmes that enable positive, sustained outcomes in empowerment, education and employment. Our vision is to imagine a society where the future is not defined by the past or determined by the place a person starts. As part of our offering, we provide training courses, traineeships and apprenticeships for young people aged 16-24, readying them for the workplace. Through a network of world-leading employers, we provide opportunities that give young people vital experience, much needed confidence and essential skills. City Gateway Women’s Programmes extends this offering to local women across the community, partnering with them to build confidence and skills. Last year, Women’s Programmes welcomed over 400 learners from 14 different ethnicities, between the ages of 19-81. Alongside our creche we offer a full programme of family support for parents with children aged 0–5. Over the last three years we have been able to support over 300 families, partnering with parents and carers to equip children with the skills and confidence they need for a bright future.

This place isn’t just a regular college or training centre, it’s so much more! After having taught there for nearly 12 years, I can honestly say that the vast majority of staff that work there, do so because they are passionate about what they do. They are passionate about the people they work with and the majority aren’t at CG just for the money. If you apply yourself and work hard when attending, you will progress and will have a great chance of having some very unique and rare opportunities. Just ask the hundreds (and probably now thousands) that are now in full time employment as a direct result of City Gateway. As with most things in life; the more you put in, the more you will get out. If you have a good attitude, and work hard, then you will go a long way and lot lot further than if you just attend and do the bare minimum. That’s a promise!

Great charity! Staff are very passionate about what they do and what they believe in. My only concerns are trying to get through... whenever I call nobody on the other line seems to answer, even the switchboard team never seem to answer the phone. Getting through is a nightmare but other than that thumbs up to the good work which GC are doing.

Worst place ever! Been here for a solid year! Waste of time. They sell you fake dreams! offered me a chance to change my life and go far however they didn't do anything for me. Promised me a good apprenticeship but did not get one. Its just another way of showing they are doing something for the community but really aint..

Worst college ever, i was a top student in other colleges...came to this college to be taught by teachers that cant even put batteries in remotes....put me in a level 1 course where we were learning fractions for half a year.....while doing that course i got into the SIA security course. Got my level 2 maths and english in half a week. While they said i failed, when i asked where i went wrong they couldnt answer instead they questioned my SIA course. I would put 1 star if i could and a lawsuit if i had the time 5 years of them just using to milk money Never go to this college

One of the worst services I have ever been to. A place where there is full of drug dealers.

No support at all. Did various apprenticeship here. Didn't get what they said. Rather go to a professional college and do your courses. These people will waste your time and at the end demand to give the certificates. Staff members are not friendly as well, they would leave you half way through your courses and forget you forever! Please go to a established college even though it may mean you have to pay. You'd rather pay and get what your promised rather than being deceived!
