This is by far my favourite Arabic dessert place. They literally cook it fresh and once it’s gone it’s gone, you will have to come back next day for the next FRESH batch. They sell like hot cakes here for a reason. The quality, hygiene and friendly staff are what makes this place. They are not expensive at all if you take into consideration the quality & freshness you are paying for. Absolutely a hidden gem in the streets of London.

I had heard some good things about Diwan Damas (namely through browsing through the most recent reviews when looking for food places in London). As I was around those ends, I felt obliged to see what traditional Middle Eastern sweets they had on offer for me to indulge. I opted for a classic which did the rounds on google reviews, the pistachio ice cream, and a couple of baklava’s. The ice cream was mortifying. Its texture was rubbery yet stringy, and the pistachios were very bitter. It didn’t taste pleasant, so looks were deceiving. The only solace were the baklava’s, which were relatively fresh, crispy and soft. A disappointing experience and one which I wouldn’t exactly recommend to others if they wanted to try the ice cream. However, for other confectionaries, I would suggest you find out for yourself. 3/10.

Friendly guy! He was very patient with us choosing while he had a queue. Came from out of london for a meal, this place was recommended for takeout sweets so we paid a visit.
