In and out in an hour. From the start to the finish nice service. One of the Receptionist was not really smiling but she was professional. The doctor was helpful, explaining everything in a simple way to understand. Also answered to all my questions. Sent me to X-ray, there were 2 gentlemen friendly, informative and nice. Back quickly to doctors room again. Really helpful from start to finish. Good to see that there are still people who care and treat people nicely. Clean rooms, corridor and toilet.

Staff are professional but understaffed. I waited 3 hours with shattered glass in my hand without anyone even doing an initial check. I was told someone had clicked on my file so they couldn't indicate how long it would be until I was seen?? I was seen 2 hours after that time! Also a great place if you want to hang about with the homeless overnight who come and sit in the reception to get some sleep.

Have visited the ER repeatedly due to the nature of my job having to escort people there and have been there on a few occasions for personal reasons. Lewisham hospital redefines the term emergency in every sense of the word. It's a beautiful experience from the doctor team that are about as emphatic as a spoon (not mentioning competence - adopting a paracetamol cures it all approach). To the reception and nurse sraffw will misinterpret what you tell them repeatedly and not listen to what you tell them. And let's not even start with the wait times. My current record to this day is 12 hours from going in to going out for intense kidney pain. Would definitely recommend if you have a death wish. If otherwise sane and have another option do avoid it like the plague.

The most incompetent doctors and nurses I have ever seen in my life. My mother was screaming in pain from a disk hernia and they didn't do anything and completely refused to give an adequate treatment. There care actually worsened her condition. If you have a medical emergency better die home than go to this hospital as they will actually make your condition much much worse than you were when you went through the door. Absolutely the most horrible and incompetent medical staff I have ever encountered and they should all be stripped of the right to practice their professions and they are dangerous for people's health. Doctors are supposed to help you in such a critical situation not try to get rid of you in every possible way as the people in University hospital Lewisham tried to do.
