Coffee and pastries are not bad, some of them are excellent, however, I don't like the attitude of one of their employee/manager (not sure what she is!). Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the lady! I think treating customers with care and respect is crucial, as there are many places in London where you can find a fresh ban, but just a few where you can be yelled at. I come to Gail's Abbeville regularly, but I don't think I will keep with that routine.

One of my favorite breakfast place in London. Excellent cappuccino, great variety of sweets with great quality. Lovely location, very clean and tidy! Fast service and gentle staff

You would expect that if you are willing to pay for an overpriced loaf of bread that the staff could be bothered to be polite. Not a please or thank you to be had, just attitude. EDIT: looking at the other reviews it seems I’m not the only one to complain about rude staff. Either this is Gail’s policy to treat customers like rubbish or the management of this particular store have lost control.

We love Gail's but since moving to Abbeville 2yr ago, there's been a notable decline in friendliness of the till staff. Maybe getting overworked and underpaid during lockdown, but it's not nice to make loyal local customers feel so unwelcome. Leaving this review as a particular lady gave my wife unnecessary attitude when she visited during a stroll with our newborn, making her come home quite upset. It's as though this lady deems it beneath her to serve, and this grumpiness has clearly infected other colleagues (and infects customers too). We are sadly not the only neighbours who have decided we'd rather spend our money in Nue Ground where the coffee is also very nice but the staff are actually happy to see you (and even learn your name)!

Very HOME from HOME place to visit. First the shop was really clean and neat, the staff are chatty and attentive to all customers. Great coffee and they had a great range of really great pastries and breads to make your mouth water. Seems to be a great place for families and mums-to-be to meet up. WiFi is excellent and they have a nice section of high tables which are great when using your laptop and don't want to take up a 4 person table.

Great products but please reconsider the need to put all your loaves in plastic bags. One of the benefits of a local bakery should be getting nice loaves without pointless packaging.

Always great coffee, pastries sandwiches. Bit spenny but that's typical of a Gail's and it does reflect the quality. Is of course V busy at peak times and weekends but they have good Covid measures in place. A nice addition to Abbeville village.
