Awful! I had an appointment today and as I arrived I got a phonecall to cancel, I was in the building! I am shielding as I am extremely clinically vunerable. I had to wait a month for the appointment and was very anxious to leave the house and use the public transport to get there this put me serioisly at risk! I callld my gp as they said gp had to re refer me and they refused to speak to her. Absolutely disgusting that someone vunerables life was put at risk by these people.
Getting here is easy but parking is bit of an issue so give yourself time to find parking. Easy step free access to the reception. Nice and clean waiting area with tea/coffee machine.
Clean and warm place, professional and friendly service. Ms.Rose, bless her, she made me feel comfortable during my MRI scan - thank you!
Really good place. Was easy to get to by 25 Bus.Went today (9/02/2020). For my back scan. Had my appointment at 9:30AM. Reached there by 8:45AM. Was seen at 9AM. Was given a patient safety questionnaire filled out the questions that were relevant to me. Then was told by the receptionist to take the questionnaire down to the Lower MRI room. From there only waited around 5 minutes where I was told by the radiographer to change into gown provided. Kept my valuables in the locker provided. Waited around 5 min to enter into the MRI control room where I was weighed. Was asked questions from the questionnaire. Was given full details of what to expect. Was given reassurance. I did get a bit scared at first as it felt like you are laying down in a coffin. They do give you a buzzer if you feel very scared. My results will be sent off to my GP within a week.
Really a lovely, well thought out and decorated place. Took my mum to an appointment here with the bonus that our office used to be just around the corner. Staff very welcoming and the atmosphere is nice. Everything is clean and tidy to a high standard as to be expected from a new building. Centre has wifi, tea/coffee for guests and patients. Not sure about parking, but, easy access to buses (Route 25) in both directions.
I have to agree with the other visitors who had an MRI scan. The whole pt8cess was rushed and the staff extremely cold and almost snappy when I asked questions. I have had an MRI years ago at an NHS place and they took time to explain the process to me, and what i need to do. I was told nothing and was quite anxious. How long? What do I do if I move etc? Nothing . And I came into the room with a plastic water bottle and my asthma inhaler and the three women in the radiology room looked at me in horror and barked at me to get those things out of the room. Spoke to me with utter contempt. I had to go all the way back to my locker and put them away despite my anxiety increasing and chest closing up. The fancy foyer and free tea doesnt make up for the dreadful service.
Staff were friendly and helpful and process was fast.
