My father was referred to see Mr. Cascarini after finding a slightly enlarged lymph node in his neck. It initially seemed suspicious but luckily ended up being fine but it was a worrying time and Mr. Cascarini managed to keep us calm, organising the biopsy quickly and providing results swiftly. Very happy overall and a definite future contact for anything in the future, thank you!

I’m leaving this review a tad too early as I’m still recovering from my arthroscopic procedure with Botox just two weeks ago. I have met many doctors along the way in my journey of relentless pain due to hEDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome hypermobility type) and most of them I wouldn’t want to let loose on my jaw. You need to trust someone who is going to be working on such an important and intricate part of the body. After a lot of research I came across Luke and knew he was the man for the job, plus he has other patients with EDS and TMJ issues so knows the score and that we’re a complicated bunch (an understatement). I annoyingly can’t have private medical insurance as it’s an on-going problem and Luke has always been concerned about that which was a (welcome) surprise. He listens and gets it. I hope to report back in a few months with news that I’m able to live my life to the full with a little less pain and that I’ll never have to wear this t-shirt again.

I went to see Mr Cascarini following prolonged dental work which had left me in constant pain, with limited mouth opening and unable to bite or chew properly. Following my consultation and MRI scan Mr Cascarini diagnosed me with bilateral displaced articular discs, one severely displaced. Mr Cascarini performed a bilateral arthroscopy with BMAC (a small amount of bone marrow is taken from your hip and injected into the jaw joints under anesthesia) at The Platinum Medical Centre and I was home the same day. The staff and level of care was outstanding and everything was fully explained to me before and after my surgery. As soon as the next day I was in less pain and appreciated the call from Mr Cascarini the next morning to check on my welfare. Family and friends struggled to see the incision marks and stitches (not significant enough to show up on a Zoom call!). Two weeks after surgery, my mouth opening has doubled, I am pain free and able to eat normally again. Having been in such despair before this surgery I cannot recommend this procedure or consultant highly enough, this has made such a difference to my quality of life. Paula Henderson
