I started studying with Master Ding 25 years ago after waving my arms about with 2 other teachers. The Master Ding Academy offers truly authentic Tai Chi taught by a world master. In every lesson the teaching is detailed, meticulous, intense and good fun. Every teacher in the academy has to continue to train and attend class him/her self, so the message is consistent throughout all the branches. Every lesson is a revelation where the learning is taken to a new level. I have been ‘peeling my onion’ for 25 years now and it hasn’t even begun to run out of layers.

Highly recommended. The Academy's approach revolves around testing and making sure postures are sound and strong. The difference with other schools may be the openness in the authentic traditional teaching, the wide international friendly community of its members and the fun training.

Great instruction in a very welcoming and patient atmosphere makes this centre the most authentic training arena and the most nurturing and good humoured, relaxed space to spend some time. Add to this the tremendous depth of demonstrable ability from the vast range of students and instructors alike, London is very lucky to have the Master Ding Academy.

I am so happy at this school. Master Ding is the real deal - he can take control of your entire body instantly with just the merest light touch and put you anywhere he likes, you have to have it done to you to believe it (when covid restrictions are lifted obviously). He teaches everyone, from total beginners to people with 30 years experience - it's a bit like Shakespeare has a studio in Limehouse and is running effective and cheap creative writing classes for anyone who can hold a pen. The other teachers are also great, I am constantly surprised by how very, very good they are at correctly identifying what I am doing wrong and successfully communicating to me how I need to change, and even more by the patience and boundless generosity with which they do it. And when the teachers are like that, of course the students are too.
