Mr. Al-Mahmoud operated on a cyst in November 2019, which was causing pressure and pain on my Sciatic nerve at L5/S1 joint, most effectively. He is an efficient, courteous and highly skilled surgeon who made sure I had all the information about what he was going to do and what I could expect. Due to the cyst growing through small nerves, some of the nerves inevitably were damaged but only minimally. I am thrilled that I am no longer in pain and I am able to enjoy a full and active life again.

Mr Al-Mahfoudh removed a large benign pituitary tumour in February this year at the wellington hospital. He always explained everything to me in depth and made me feel at ease as I was very nervous about the operation. His aftercare was great and he kept in touch with me personally when I was in hospital to ensure my aftercare and drugs were being monitored which I was very grateful for.

After a MRI scan I was diagnosed with a benign spinal tumour. Due to ongoing sciatic pain in my leg Mr Al-Mahfoudh and I decided it was best to have it removed before the tumour increased in size. Mr Al-Mahfoudh explained the procedure with me and made sure I was happy with everything before going ahead. I was confident in everything he said and trusted he was the best person for the job. We assumed some of the tumour May be left after surgery due to it being so close to my nerves, however Mr Al-Mahfoudh managed to get rid of it all with no nerve damage. Since surgery Mr Al-Mahfoudh has contacted me to make sure I am recovering well, I also have routine MRI scans booked to ensure the tumour does not grow back. Seven months later and I feel fully recovered with no nerve pain! I would definitely recommended Mr Al-Mahfoudh, as he is very professional, easy to contact and very compassionate. I am very thankful for all he did for me.
