I moved to London in 2014 and I have been advised to visit this recruitment agency, so I took the train and I went to their office. There was a long queue waiting to speak with the recruiter and people who were from Portugal were served first. After waiting 2 hours the recruiter left saying that he will be back soon. He showed up 2 hours later when the office was about to close and he asked us to introduce ourselves in the waiting room and to mention what job we are looking for without any consideration about our privacy. Back then I was looking for any kind of job as I was new in London and my English wasn’t so great. His answer was “we do not have any job for people who doesn’t speak English very well”. I felt discriminated and humiliated. I just wanted to tell to the recruiter named “Domingos” (surprisingly he is from Portugal and he may have experienced how challenging it is to move to another Country) that today I have a happy carrer. Please be careful with the words you use with people who see on you a hope for their future. Avoid this place if you are not Portuguese.
