The place itself is nice. The ambience inside has typical italian decor and there is a (very small) backyard (can't really call it a garden honestly). Food was very good, a nice selection of Tuscany meat-based plates, pasta was very well cooked and the staff is nice and educated. Unfortunately, however, the place doesn't seem to be extremely popular. I can't find anything wrong, but I went there with a friend on a Sunday and we were the only customers, which made it feel a bit odd. In essence, it's a great place if you are looking for quality, very good if you're looking for some quiet / romantic ambience, or if you're going with a larger group of people. It is not the right place if you're going there with just few friends.

This is a wonderful new local, genuine Tuscany osteria (Italian for local, easy, home cooking). Other reviews are obviously not real. We have been here 5 times now in 6 weeks. Fabulous, all hand/home-made pasta, dough, food. Everything is genuine. Most people in Fulham travel to Italy and drive miles and miles o find this kind of authentic, local, non-branded place; look no further than 164 Wandsworth Bridge Road! The chef works super hard to prepare and present fresh, excellent, truly northern Tuscan treats. The prices are super reasonable for London and the house wines are excellent. We are determined to help this place become a destination 'find'. Go now; it might be quiet but concentrate on the lovely taste and wash it all down with the red, finishing off with a very nice Limoncello. Speak to the chef; coax him out of the kitchen for a few minutes to catch his quiet enthusiasm for his delicious craft!

We've been at the osteria 164 yesterday evening for a dinner between friends. I have to say, as Italian, I'm always very critical when we're talking about Italian food. But this dinner was simply fabulous. The chef Tiziano, that we met after dinner, is able to combine those ingredient with absolute knowledge. Some dishes are very simple, like the coccoli (a kind of fried italian bread) that we had as starter with some charcuterie, but this is the key! simplicity! All the products felt very fresh on the palate. And the apple tart at the end.. well it was literally "the icing on the cake" Highly recommended to everybody!!!
