Proceed with caution when using this company. I Purchased a domestic self build warranty through this company. They placed my business with an insurer called ALPHA. This turned out to be a very high risk company to do business with, as just 8 months after purchasing the policey the insurance company that covered me went bust and I lost my cover. CRL have subsquently attempted to offer me an alternative policey at a discounted rate as some sort of compensative measure. This proved to be extreemely costley in light of the fact I'd already spent several thousands of pounds buying a policey in the first place, it didnt compensate me in the slightest. The cost was still in the thousands. After consulting with my regualar charted insurance broker here in Nottingham, who looked into this for me, it turns out that the company ALPH was an insurance company that operates outside of the uk regulatory system. How can a broker do business like this? This is why the policey was almost 400 cheaper then the nearest other quotation recieved when shoping around for the best deal. I am currently seeking advice through the ombudsmen service for compensation. Stay away for new build warranties with these people. You have been warned.
