Debbie is an amazing teacher. She explains in detail the rationale behind each technique so it makes it easy to remember. I totally recommend a few lessons at sew what and you’ll find skills you once thought you never had.

Well what can i say about Debbie and the Sew What Cafe....Well absolutely amazing springs to mind. I was a complete beginner when i first came to Debbie and was so nervous and didn't think id ever be able to use a sewing machine (it was a kind of daunting thought to me) However after just two sessions with Debbie, not only did i become comfortable with my machine, i managed to create a very pretty pillowcase cover and i was amazed at just how neat and professional it looked (I actually manged to sew a straight line on a seam!!! - HUGE ACHIEVEMENT for me) This was all down to the amazing teaching skills of Debbie. She is kind and patient and really helps to grow your confidence. She is always on hand should you need help and will guide you through what ever you need. Her studio is comfortable and welcoming and the little group of others who are there are wonderful to chat to and share skills and experiences with. You also get a warm drink and biscuits...BONUS. All in all i can say i am having the time of my life here and am enjoying every minute i spend here. Word of warning though.....once you get into the swing of things Sewing becomes highly addictive and you want to spend all that hard earned cash on pretty fabric and embellishments :-) Absolutely 10 out of 10!

Sew What Cafe! Highly recommended, small intimate classes, will enable you to learn to sew from scratch in a relaxed atmosphere, or learn new skills if you are already accomplished at sewing . Sewing Machines can be hired. Debbie is full of details, hints and tips and teaches you correct methods and theory so you really feel like you are developing a skill and can go away and have a go yourself. You will complete a project, which is incredibly satisfying. With Debbie's guidance from having relatively now experience I have made bags, zipped cushion covers, skirts and pyjamas and my confidence is growing and growing. If you want to learn something new, book a lesson with Debbie at her Sew What Cafe!

I am extremely lucky to have found Sew what? First impression, the cosy studio has everything you need, beautifully organised and welcoming. The price for the classes are very good value for money. Ever lasting impression, Debbie is an amazing teacher with adults and children, warm and inspiring. I was looking to make a baby blanket for a gift. Debbie taught me to sow for the first time, patiently and full of encouragement. In 5 classes I had a gift worthy quilted blanket, a lovely experience and the privilege of meeting Debbie and fellow students.

I am so glad I found Sew What?. Debbie is a competent, energetic and inspiring teacher. The atmosphere at the sewing cafe is relaxed and focused at the same time, and she manages to give one-2-one attention to everyone. I also like the fact that there are people of all sorts of levels; clearly all of them get something valuable from Debbie.
