Beautiful apartment, very well connected area and quite neighbors. The people looking after the guests are very responsive and helpful. The apartment is specious, bright and well furnished. We had a very pleasant stay and felt like at home.

We booked a short term lease at The Modern Duke’s retreat via Stay Beyond for three months and had issues from the offset with the managing agents in regard to the state of the property when we arrived. It was definitely not the house we had been promised as per the photos on the website. The property is shown as an immaculate, well cared for property - however, the reality couldn’t have been further from this. There was a leak from the roof directly into the dining room, a leak from the hot tub and toilet situated on the first floor, overgrown gardens to the point of looking like a jungle and us having to ask multiple times for a gardener to be sent, mouldy walls with fungus growing due to the damp, stains all over the carpet and cheap furniture, there was also fungus on the wall in the children’s bathroom due to the damp, which is a big health concern. We sent them lots of emails to report the issues, and at first we thought the lack of maintenance might be due to the COVID situation but when the maintenance team were sent to the property, we were advised that multiple issues had been going on for some time and Stay Beyond would always advise to do cheap / quick fixes which have obviously not resolved the issues. We therefore left the property before the end of our lease as the property was inhabitable and a health risk for us, we have also been waiting for compensation since June which is simply not acceptable. What we found incredibly frustrating is that we entrusted a reputable company to provide a comfortable and clean temporary home inline with what was being advertised on the Stay Beyond website, then when we raised concerns they were not managed efficiently or correctly and we are still having to wait for compensation. Suffice to say, we will never book a home again though Stay Beyond as the whole experience has been less than poor.

As of now, we haven't been to London because of COVID-19, but we had a very good and constructive communication about refunding/getting a voucher. Everything worked out fine in the end and you can tell from the mails we exchanged that the Beyonders are very nice and friendly people who care about their customers. Thank you very much for being so flexible in these trying times

avoid renting through staybeyond if you are looking for a habitable property. they provided no support, alternative nor compensation on days when electricity was cut (wifi was also not working on another occasion). i have a young child and i was force to move my family to another property which i paid for and found myself as no electricity meant no heat (in January) no cooking power and no lights! also, be very careful and clarify what they list in their terms and conditions. i was told there would be daily cleaning service included in my rent but during my stay of a month, no one ever came!!

From a resident point of view. We’ve been in conflict for more than 3 YEARS with a flat next to ours managed by this company. Guests behaviour is totally unacceptable and staybeyond hasn’t done anything except saying how “sorry” they are about the situation. The nuisance involves: Music, mid-week parties (yes this is a big flat for 9-10 people), insults, use of drugs and threats. My partner has been sleeping on the sofa in the living room on the other side of our house during her entire pregnancy in fear of being awaken by the guests managed by this company. We’ve tried everything in order to find a solution to stop the nuisance such as asking the company to do check-ins in person, filter the guests, putting rules but nothing has changed. Disgraceful.
