This is a new restaurant and makes it straight to the top of my list of best vegan restaurants in London. I guess you could describe the concept as Modern Italian Tapas. I went with 11 others for a birthday celebration and had a pre starter, starter, and 3 main courses. Every time I took a bite of food someone on the table would wave a loaded fork in my face and say “you have to try this”.. which led to another course being ordered.. and another.. and another! I won’t bother recommending anything in particular because everything is excellent and between 12 of us on the table we tried it all! Im not really a dessert person but on this occasion I had two. The special Canoli wasn’t on the menu but was one of the best I’ve had outside of Sicily. Then I was offered a taste of someone’s tiramisu and had to order that too. I would go so far as to say it’s the best tiramisu I’ve had in London (with Signor Sassi in Knightsbridge close second best). Finally, the service is perfect. The restaurant was actually opened for us on a Monday which was very nice of them to do and the staff were charming and friendly all night. We’ll be back.
This is terrible. Very expensive. Very greasy. Very small portions. I was still hungry after 5 plates! Everything is fried and tasteless with no fresh veg. My main was a layer of burned potato crisps, fried mushrooms and watery tasteless gravy. Disgusting! And what s bad name these places are giving vegan food which should be delicious. Needless to say I will not be back.
What a magical evening! Everything we tried from the menu was amazing. As a religious meat eater I can honestly say I did not expect the dishes to be so delicious as its veg. Absolutely loved everything about the dining experience here from the hostess to the wine! Daniel you have created something magical and your menu is out of this world. Will definately be going back to try your ever changing seasonal menus. You have made a believer out of a meat eater. Thank you for showing me the way.
Had a fantastic lunch! Fine dining style vegan and vegetarian food. Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The pumpkin, sage dish was particularly fabulous. Check it out - great even for non vegans and veggies like me will definitely be back!
We were two vegans and two non vegans and we found the small plates of food to share were bursting with flavors and well thought through. If you like interesting food that is more about quality and flavor than quantity, this is the place to dine. The service was friendly and all dishes were explained to us. The restaurant is nicely designed, cozy and with a good atmosphere. The evening was very busy so it is advisable to book first.
I have been there a few times already. The food is very good . Menu is changing so we get to taste new things all the time. Lovely Chef and staff. I m not vegetarian but I love this place.
The moment we walked in we were greeted by head chef Daniele with a warm smile and instantly felt very welcomed. Chef Danielle was very passionate and very well presented, as he took us through his menu at one point me and my wife come eye to eye and knew we were in for a real treat! First vegan/vegetarian restaurant in the area with a fine dining concept and you are spoilt with a range of dishes to choose from, a variety of cocktails and organic wines, oh the dessert menu is also a must! All in all we left Stokey Veg Vegan as two very happy customers, a big thank you to Danielle and team for a great evening of food and hospitality. We will definitely be back and this time with family and friends.
