Shocking!! Despite the varied collection and good quality of fabric, the problem with Universal is that no price is fixed. Prices vary wildly from 5/m to 18 for the exact same fabric bought by the same person from the same shop assistant. This is by no means a one off occurrence. Friends of mine have experienced similar issues when buying the same fabrics, charging more to some than others. When contested, the shop owner was aggressive and overly defensive asking for a receipt. However, receipts given by Universal do not even specify what was bought. Do not trust this shop, waste of time and money.

Love the colours they have in every fabric you could think of! Definitely will come again :)
I met the only person on Goldhawk Road that knew of plush material here. The shop didn't have it, no one on Goldhawk Road did but I was offered some nice alternatives and got some beautiful fabric here.
Not the cheapest shop in the area, but a really wide selection.
