My 7 year old son has played with Wallace for 2 years. It's been a great club/squad offering excellent chess coaching with experienced, patient teachers. During lockdown the Wallace Sessions have been particularly helpful - keeping him happy and occupied in constructive online chess.

My daughter has been in the weekend classes for some time, first in-person (which she loved!) and now online. The coaches are great, and she loves the club. She will be glad to get back to face-to-face, but even online the coaches keep the two hour sessions incredibly engaging (shout out to her coach Eric - a star at keeping the kids focused!). Would highly recommend for kids interested in getting more into chess.

My daughter is 8 and started at a Wallace Chess camp as a complete beginner. That was about a year ago. Now, she is playing on the elite squad! The tutors are energetic and supportive, and they really gave her a good start in chess, making it fun, not intimidating. She’s learned so much and it’s helped her confidence too. I highly recommend this group; they’re great!

My experience with working for Wallace Chess has been amazing! I have enjoyed all 3 years of being employed by Wallace Chess and during this time I have been treated perfectly by the Co-Directors Astrid and John-Paul. They have always been honest and transparent with me from the start, communicating all of their problens, concerns and ideas with me directly. They have also been providing me useful and constructive feedback and tips on how to improve as a coach from the start. All that with a very competitive wage!

My 6-year-old son (Y2) has been playing chess with them since Y1. He started joining the chess class at his school first then they asked him to join Saturday Squads. The coaches/managers are amazing and flexible as they always ask us how he is enjoying the lessons or not. They always give us some advices as well as chances to try the other classes/coaches if needed. They also seek our honest opinions and think solutions together if we my son finds difficulties! I really trust them and my son is enjoying their classes every week. The coaches are nice and skilful. They know students individual abilities well. My daughter is also joining their holiday camps sometimes. She really enjoys it too!
