James is my dentist at Lovat House. He has been really brilliant with both general dental work and aesthetic treatments. He has always taken time to discuss different options with me and answer any questions I might have. The team of dental nurses (Lisa, Kim etc) are always welcoming and friendly. I would recommend this practice.

This is in my opinion the most professional and friendly dental practice I have had the pleasure of attending. I am not a fan of going to the dentist but Andrew offered a treatment which would solve my gum issues, after taking a year to get my head around the idea I booked in. I am so pleased with the results, Andrew is a true professional and really knows his stuff. Thanks also to Kim (his sidekick!) for her patience with me and the many micro stitches Andrew had to stitch in. Would highly recommend Lovat House :)

I had root canal treatment with Jay about 6 months ago after putting it off because my regular dentist near Bath had retired. I have been quite nervous of going to the dentist in the past and would often find an excuse not to have any treatment except a regular hygienist appointment! I found Jay to be extremely professional at all times. He explained what was involved and his light-hearted yet professional and extremely caring manner was genuinely reassuring. The treatment was painless and thorough. I can highly recommend Jay for specialist root canal treatment. My check up as a new patient with Dr Sarah Turner had shown that root canal treatment might be necessary in a molar on the other side of my jaw too but as it was at the back I opted for an extraction. Yesterday I had it taken out and once again I can only praise Lovat House staff. Sarah and Charlotte, her nurse, both showed high quality interpersonal skills and superb professionalism. Not an easy balance to achieve. Sarah talked me through every step of the treatment, explaining how I could assist and make the extraction a quicker process! I was all for that! I felt no pain, no stress and no fear during the half hour appointment. I even managed to relax because I felt I had been in control of the experience which meant it wasn't a negative one. Afterwards I could hardly believe the treatment was over and my manky molar was out and unable to cause me any more pain. I felt quite emotional as it was such a relief. Then the after care was extremely well explained to me so I knew exactly what to expect and how to react. However since the appointment yesterday morning I have hardly had any discomfort at all. Fantastic! Dr Sarah Turner is a high quality dentist and one I can honestly say has removed all the fear I have had of going to the dentist in the past. I'm a convert to Lovat House ️

I’ve had specialist surgical and restorative treatment , incredibly professional result, informative, outstanding level of care , exceptionally skilled dentist. My recent visit to Lovat House has left me somewhat very disappointed. I was kept half an hour outside before being called in. The small heaters in the outside shelter were not very effected, due to the extreme weather conditions. In the end I had to ring the reception to remind them I was still waiting, although I have already booked myself in. Unfortunately, they are very limited to how many people can sit in the waiting room. When I was called in eventually Andrew was apologetic for keeping me waiting saying he got held up with a previous patient. This wasn't a very good start for my appointment as I was a little bit nervous about the treatment. I was happy however with the treatment and they went to a lot of trouble to make sure I was ok. I appreciate it is a very difficult time for everyone and certainly not ideal to be waiting outside in such cold weather. Unfortunately, every time I come for an appointment I am often kept waiting way past my time.

Having been with the lovely Michael Stanley for getting on for 40 years as had four generations of my family, it was always going to be a hard act to follow, but Andrew you nailed it today!!! taking on a practice in such surreal circumstances must be very hard and all the hygiene work involved at present, but I cannot praise the practice highly enough, from the lovely reception staff, to the nurses, then to the treatment and a great filling (if there is such a thing!!) done with expertise kindness and lovely music. Only complaint, it was a tad chilly stood outside, but then the halogens came on....bliss!!! Rachel Edwards

I joined this Practice earlier this year when I had a lot of dental pain. Andrew Barber sorted everything out very quickly and efficiently and I was so pleased. Since then he has restored my teeth to their full dental health. I am very impressed by the whole team here. Amy, the hygienist, is such a perfectionist too and my teeth have never felt so clean! Their care during the current situation has been superlative too. We are lucky to have this practice in Cheltenham.
