I have eaten here for many years and have always enjoyed the food and service. However we booked a table for tonight and they had given it away. They kept us sitting for half an hour until I asked them how much longer. They replied they don't have space for us at all! They didn't even offer us anything to compensate (such as a take away or a meal another night) I'm sorely disappointed and won't be back! How insulting

Lovely food lovely friendly staff
Have been coming here for over 30 years and never been disappointed. Food is excellent, price is reasonable and staff are very friendly. Restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, have tried other local Indians but the Dildar is by far our family favourite. When we have had family celebrations they have always gone above & beyond to help make the occasion special!
I have ordered from this restaurant 3 times now for delivery. Honestly one of the best Indian cuisine around - I have tried my fair share. Food is always spot on, always on time and communicate if it is going to be a long wait. Friendly service. What more do you want? I'm moving away soon, so I am dissapointed I cannot move this restaurant with me.
They are not selling authentic Indian food. Chana (chickpea) dish was brought when I ordered matar paneer ( peas cheese). I asked the staff which one of this is matar( peas) he pointed to the chana (chick pea) and said this is it. Anyone who wants authentic Indian food should not go here. There are 2 more Indian restaurants right adjacent to this one which are good. I repent going to Dildar, never for me again.
