Absolutely fantastic boat trip, booked for sight seeing for my kids and I. Ended up being just us... the 2 man crew took us up and down the coast, we pulled along side a lobster pot boat and the kids saw the lobsters being pulled up and were shown one close up. There was a box of fossils to look at and the kids were told what the different fossils were. Also got to put a line in to catch mackerel and got a tour of the cabin. Crew were so friendly and engaged with the kids really well. Took 3 mackerel home for tea... an absolute highlight of our holiday, very much recommended.

Had a brilliant trip on board the Neptune with Lyme Bay Boat Trips. We were not sure whether to do a mackerel fishing or a sightseeing trip. In the end the trip we went on offered both. My son was keen to do the mackerel fishing while my wife just wanted to take in the views along the Jurassic Coast near Lyme Regis. We managed to catch one mackerel on our line! I recommend a boat trip for anyone visiting Lyme.

I've been on four Lyme Bay Boat Trips over the last few weeks, both for the mackerel fishing and the sightseeing cruise. The skipper Steve gives a nice talk about the coastline and area as well as local fossils and shipwrecks and the mackerel fishing is great fun. I've also been lucky enough to see a dolphin which was an amazing experience.

A brilliant hour spent out in Lyme Bay trying to catch some mackerel for our supper. The views from the boat of the Jurassic Coast were amazing and I thoroughly recommend a trip on a boat for anyone visiting Lyme Regis.
