Our two-year-old grandson loved it. The pool is shallow around the edges and gradually deepens until about one foot. There are several small fountains around the edge and a really good one in the middle

I don't have any long term memories of Sutton-on-sea and this is only our second visit in as many years. My grandkids love Sutton-on-sea, its pool and the beach. I liked the history of it's building by Polish soldiers as a thank you to the people of Sutton-on-sea for the children in the area to enjoy. I have to agree with one review that children using the pool should be accompanied by a responsible adult but, apart from that, I don't think children should be excluded. I definitely don't think the local council should employ someone to monitor numbers as parents should be doing that, shouldn't they? I would like to see a lot more seating to encourage parents to stay and watch their children play. Currently, there are only a couple of benches. Sutton-on-sea has a great sandy beach too that is flagged and watched over by lifeguards. There is also a great little shop, just off the beach, that sells, amongst other things, fabulous home-made ice-cream with unusual flavours. Next to the shop is a cafe where you can buy a meal, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and enjoy a table overlooking the sea. Sutton also offers 2 hours free parking at two car parks near the pool. Unfortunately, these are very small and fill up very quickly. However, frequent gaps do appear so you may be lucky. There is other parking on and off street but I don't know if these are free.

A great place for adults and children alike. The splash pool is a firm favourite with kids and people watchers and is just deep enough for paddling in. When the season is in full swing water fountains and other water amusements are installed for the kids to play around. There is a great park here too with a lovely cafe and public toilets nearby. There is also an outdoor type gym, fish pond, tennis courts, sundial area and outside picnic tables too. Behind all this is the promenade and great beach...so bring your kite!

Memories from being a kid 35 years ago and playing with my son in there. Hopefully with future children and generations too. Always kept tidy and inviting looking when sunny.
