We went to JPB for pensions advice, specifically with growth in mind for a pension. JPB are polite, professional and knowledgeable but JPB services are self-excluding to our aim which is to build growth in our pension pot. To explain: the risk scale goes from one to ten. One being the lowest level risk and ten being the most risky. After doing a risk assessment if you are a one on the scale then it points to a very conservation and safe approach to investments, with low returns. If you are a ten on the scale it points to a much more cavalier high risk approach, but the returns “could” be significantly higher. JPB only offer pension portfolios within the risk bands 3 to 7. Excluding the very safe, and excluding the very risky. This approach did not suit us.
