I absolutely Love Grand designs. I never studied design or anything like it but I really love design and the varied ideas architects and clients come up with in designing their home. I saw Patrick on Home of the Year on RTE1 and instantly liked his personality and approach to design. By chance I caught Kevin Mc Cloud's 10 best Grand Deign Programmes, and to my delight and surprise Patrick featured. I was intrigued by his choice of material but also excited as I felt excited at what this amazing bloke was going to come up with, In the end his stunning home, and hammock bath, (that's a first!) absolutely took my breath away. As a single bloke I would absolutely love a pad like that, what more could a single bloke need. Unfortunately I don't have the means to build that beautiful home but I can dream and maybe some day it will be possible, but as far as Grand Designs goes, for me, in my very humble opinion this Guy takes the Oscar. I have never seen such a stunning and well finished design in the best of material. For me the unique element is not so much the bespoke design and Kitchen but that stunning Hammock Bath, fits you well Patrick. There is a saying, 'Blessed are those who dream dreams, and are willing to pay the price to make it come true' lol For Patrick it is now a well lived reality, for me it is still only a dream but I hope some day like Patrick I too can realise my dream.
