Tollesbury Marina is an interesting mix of the not so new and the very old. Amazing walks along various paths lead you to an ancient abandonment of boats rotting away for decades. But the meddlesome Maldon Council are arranging forced removal of abandoned boats and restricting how many boats can be used for residential purposes. But there are immense wooden structures on the shore line that are swamped at high spring tides providing an decrepit charm. Maldon Council have locked down the charming bathing basin now infested with rotting algae - oh the charm of bossy bureaucracy. High Spring tides are fun as the access roads are swamped with sea water - kids love the free access to a massive paddling area.

Best Marina on the east coast. I've had a berth there for 20 years. Quiet village location plenty of parking. Swimming pool for the kids. Great restaurant. 1st class boat yard facilities.

Well what a hidden gem. Had the best weekend of the year. Thanks to the Marina staff and the restaurant staff. Top notch. Fabulous weather and excellent service all round. Be back soon.

Lovely walk. Admittedly more café's would be open post covid 19

My favourite marina on the East Coast so far. Great location, bit of a walk to the town, use of the swimming pool is a great bonus. Nice walks all around. As you would expect the on site services are great and there is a scrubbing post available (seem to remember there is a charge for this) should you need to have a scrub.
