I saw Simon with symptoms of irregular heart rhythms and shortness of breath. He carried out several tests very quickly and found the cause to be coronary artery disease, which didn't require a stent but needed several medications to relieve the symptoms. He had to persevere as some gave me severe side effects, finally finding a combination that I could tolerate and which relieved my symptoms. I would not hesitate to recommend Simon to anyone with cardiology problems, he is patient and caring with a lovely positive attitude that help is available for you, whatever the problem.

This is the second time, I have consulted Simon. On the first occasion, as a result of his meticulous investigation into my symptoms, he referred me to a Haematologist who specialised in Myeloma and Amyloidosis and fortunately, Simon's thoughts on the cause of my symptoms, were confirmed. Amyloidosis is not a curable disease, but is manageable. Since then, my health has improved dramatically. On the second occasion, I was being treated by my GP for falls and fainting, which the GP thought was due to a drop in my BP. On this happening a third time, I was rushed to A & E who again , after various tests which lasted a full day, sent me home, at which point, having great confidence in Simon I consulted him about these continuing symptoms. Simon, not only saw me immediately, but told me that the symptoms, were being caused, not by a drop in my BP, but as a result of abnormal heart rhythms, having immediately carried out extensive tests. My problems started on a Thursday and he called me on the Friday and saw me the following day, where he suggested that I immediately needed a Pacemaker. This was fitted the following Thursday and since the procedure, I am like a different person. No fatigue, wheezing, shortness of breath etc. I cannot thank Simon enough and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone with Cardiology problems. He is meticulously through and never gives up until he gets to the bottom of the problems Lennie Harris
