I’m enjoying my time here on First Street with the brilliant team of Tasha, Greta and Grace. They are always ready to help us with whatever is necessary. They offer a delicious breakfast every day to take away. Heartfelt thanks to everyone for this pleasant experience even in times of restrictions.

Living here has been a great experience for me. I have lived at many student accommodation but this has been the best so far. The support and services is magnificent from staff especially from Greta. She has helped me to settle well. Vita is worth the money. The place has a good social vibe.

I lived in Vita FS for one year (18-19), so my review might not be up-to-date. But I will include details that might be helpful for international students, who might not be familiar with Manchester. Cons: 1) Overpriced: I would say that the average rent for Manchester private student accommodation is 150-200pw. Renting a decent flat in the city-centre area with much much bigger space would be very similar to this price-range (bills included). VITA is undoubtedly the most expensive, and I honestly don't think its worth it. 2) Service is not great: VITA's marketing team did a great job in showing a perfect/welcoming image online, but the actual service is lower than this expectation. For example, they kidda ration croissants (how crazy is this) and you need to wake up quite early to really enjoy the 'free' breakfast they promised. Whether or not they refill the bread also depends on the staff/his or her mood in the morning. This is just one example, but my point is I would rather buy my own breakfast and feeling like I'm living under their roof. Personally, I also feel like the (mostly white) team is much more patient towards European student than Chinese student, who sometimes have a bit of language barriers. This is subtle but absurd, considering Chinese students contribute to AT LEAST half of their rental. Pros: 1) Safety: The security is very tight. 2) Social life: More parties than if you are living alone, but probably not during Covid time.

Life at Vita Student First street is great. Definitely value for money. Ms. Greta, the manager at Vita is very cheerful and helpful. All in all, if you’re spending on an accommodation outside the university, VITA First Street is worth it!
