Wonderfully informative and inspiring Sourdough Saturday. The course was busy and practical (we helped to make 5 different sourdoughs and ate 6), but with plenty of time to relax and enjoy our delicious breads. David and Holly were warm and generous in sharing their expertise on bread, ovens and everything to do with food. The environment was spotlessly clean, with handwashing stations, masks and hand sanitizers - but these precautions didn't affect the friendly and informal atmosphere. Thank you for an excellent course - I would highly recommend.

David and Holly and Kit run a great thing. I participated in a two day course, day one to learn more about operating wood fired ovens efficiently then day two, the different array of cooking techniques you can employ. We tried baking, roasting, reducing, smoking and grilling. It was great fun and super tasty. Both days culminated in a beautiful late afternoon dinner with wine, in a very relaxed and beautiful setting. David and Holly both have great teaching styles and are welcoming. They are engaging with everybody and tailoring the course to suit the groups personal interests. Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in cooking regardless of owning a wood fires oven or not. Great way to spend a weekend in Devon and to eat some incredible food. Take stretchy trousers

We joined the cooking class in Suffolk in September 2020, what a fantastic day we had. I build my oven in March and have been using it since cooking pizza and didn’t think I would learn much, how wrong I was. We how cook roast chicken, fish, bread, and curry’s thanks to David and Holly. We will booking another class in 2021 fingers crossed. Thank you David and Holly

I went on the \cooking with a wood-fired oven course\, which was interesting and full of lots of advice and guidance. The structure was largely show-and-tell with us doing some of the preparation of the food such as kneading the dough for the pizzas that we made, learning how work the dough out into a pizza round, and so on. There was some hands-on work with the oven with making the pizzas, and we were encouraged to test out the temperature in the ovens to begin to get a feel for it. It might have been nice to have more time working directly with the ovens ourselves, rather than watching David, the instructor, do the work, but I appreciate this is hard to arrange with ten people in the class and two ovens! Overall it was a very useful class, and gave me much more of an understanding of how to work with these ovens, and of the very wide variety of things that could be cooked in them. The setting is beautiful, and the welcome very friendly, so top marks for that

Brilliant day learning how to use a wood fired oven. They tailored it to meet all attendees specific ovens so really helpful for when we get back home.
