The most helpful and welcoming place in Lowestoft. I am very enthusiastic about technology and the staff at Maplin always understand this enthusiasm. Even if I ask a question which the answer is unbelievably simple. They do not laugh or treat me like an idiot they simply answer the question in a kind manner. Even though I am enthusiastic about technology i don't know a lot about it meaning I find The Team at Maplin extremely helpful and knowledgeable at what they do.

Had to return and item that was bought just 2 days before. First of all the guy actually plugged in the item to make sure it was working. Then refused to return saying it's been used as the box was opened. I said how can I see if something is working if I don't try it? Also if he had bothered to check the receipt he would have seen that its written, that the box was opened already as it was an ex-display item. I then reminded him of my statutory rights. At this point he did the refund.
Updated. The staff are helpful. But the shelves are empty. I went in for x3 different things that I’ve been able to purchase in the past and they’re out of stock. A waste of my time. I’ll not bother visiting ever again. A shame as I’ve been a long time fan/customer of maplin.
Unknowlegable staff and rip off prices. Now suitably bankrupt and closed. Should have read their review and acted
one star is too good for this store.... went to get a refund on a faulty product and was told we had broken it on purpose! after a drawn out "debate" between me & my husband and the "rest of the staff" in which we were told the product we purchased had been bought by "thousands of customers without one return" we were finally allowed a refund (which was only 4.99!!) we left the store feeling totally intimidated and embarrassed. the staff are clearly not trained in customer care and we found the young staff so rude, especially the young slim blonde haired female, she will definately be in the my email of complaint to head office.
Easy to find what you're after. If you can't find it ask David he's the man.
Alway had good service by the guys there very helpful and friendly
Overpriced, pretty much any stock they have can be bought cheaper elsewhere
