Great store, Can spend allday in here looking around. There was a wide range of stock available, Used to buy all my electronic parts from here, Staff was friendly and helpful and fast serving at the tills however i did apply for a job here and they never got back to me plus some of there stock was abit expensive still a shame it and all other stores permanently closed though.

Probably one of the best places for all your electronic needs from resisters to connectors as well as electronic projects. They also have a wide range of already assembled gear from CCTV cameras to PC kit and even bits for your car.
Great place love going to this shop what ever you want for electronics it's generally there if not they can get it for you, and the staff are always helpful
All Maplin shops now closed due to going into administration. This shop closed for good at about 14:30 16/06/2018 Prices were high and even their offer priced items could be bought more cheaply using onine sites like Amazon and Ebay. That is the main reason for them having to close. I was stuck on a job recently and urgently needed a connector to complete the job. Online I could get one for about 1 but I had to buy one that day as the job was a long distance away and I did not want to return just to plug a connector in. Maplin price 9.99 I live near where the first Maplin opened in 1972. I was often popping in to buy bits. Since the late 90s I have hardly bought anything due to the high prices until the closing sales this week and even with 90% off or even a 60% off plus BOGOF, I could still buy a similar item cheaper that would do the job. They were good at being able to get things no one else had but now you can get pretty much anything at the click of a button. RIP Maplin.
Sometimes quicker to visit here than order online. Larger stock held than some other stores in area.
