Great time to have a walk along the beach. Cold but sunny on this occasion but nice walk with a cold but nice light wind. Great time of year to do this!
The moodiness and light heartedness of Margate beach and seafront is fantastic. No wonder this was where sea bathing was established in England. Visit all year round recommended, sea tides to be observed as they change rapidly.

Wide, open sandy beach, great for families, lots of places to sit and watch what's going on. This is the best part of Margate with the old town restored in many places. Quirky restaurants, coffee places, an old red bus serving snacks, fish and chips all opposite the beach or along the promenade. The harbour arm is a lovely stroll nearby with several small drinking places/pubs. The Turner Gallery sits at the end of the sands which is always worth a visit.
