I love the walk along the promenade in Margate, the buildings are amazing, if you appreciate that sort of thing, the beach is great, if people take their trash with them!!, the promenade is a long leisurely walk or a fast healthy jog, which ever rocks your boat, you are able to get a drink, ice cream or snacks along the way, the view out too see is amazing,

Margate is a town on England’s southeast coast. It's known for its sandy beach. Near the Harbour Arm stone pier, the modern Turner Contemporary art gallery has rotating exhibitions. Dreamland Margate is an amusement park with vintage rides. Millions of seashells decorate the Shell Grotto’s underground passages. In a former police station in the old town of Margate.

Good beaches, art gallery etc. Some areas of town & promenade need to be cleaned up, looking a bit run down.

I went down there to take photos but spent more time shooing away every dog that felt compelled to urinate over my camera bag.

On the day of visit the sun was shining, a few fluffy clouds in the sky. A good day to be at the seaside. The Promenade is 4-5 mtrs. wide, tarmac surface with railings on the beach side and a busy road on the other. There are pedestrian crossings with traffic lights to reach the other side of the road where there are food outlets, amusement arcades and Dreamland. There are a few benches along the length and steps and slopes providing access to the beach (sand) where there are a few swings etc.
