Stunning war memorial with amazing scenery. Really serene and peaceful area and absolutely worthwhile of the walk up. The effort the construction must've taken is definitely worth it. Graveyard in the nearby church on the way down if you choose the less walked path is also worthy of a respectful walk around.

A beautiful morning in Matlock. A lovely walk. Incredible views
A very nice walk to the war memorial, quite a winding walk to the top through the trees. The views over Matlock and the surrounding area are well worth it. There are Bench's should you require a wee rest and on the sunny day you can see almost all the town. You also get a great view of Riber castle.
Nice walk and beautiful spot
Fabulous monument, several members of the same family are remembered here. The grand scale of the monument is amazing
