Had a lovely few hours here , despite all covid restrictions and the terrible weather on the day these volunteers are battling through! Lots of work has been done here since last time I visited. coaches were spotless clean and so were the facilities in Wirksworth and Duffield Station . Enjoyed it and will be returning.

What a lovely little place, very friendly and great trains
Lovely Railway Station with friendly and helpful staff. Three railways to choose from. The Main Ecclesbourne Valley Railway, the Ravenstour Branch and the Wirksworth Miniature Railway. All very different railways and great to travel on.
Had a pleasant enough hour and a half i suppose. The staff were dour and the reconstruction work and new builds were unsympathetically done, i'm not sure what historical archetypal style they were done in . The journey could not in any way be described as scenic as trees either side for majority of it. Disappointing as i have been on many many of same or similar in the UK and sadly this was the worst. Wouldn't go again but i can appreciate that these guys are in the most part volunteers who work hard to keep a part of our history alive and i do thank you for that.
I hope they push this place as it’s such a delightful little railway line and the staff really help make you feel welcome. When you get off here, you can sometimes change trains and ride up to Ravenstor which is a 1 in 27 incline. There is also the Pullman Buffet Car. Make sure you’ve got time to wander around a Wirksworth.
