Wonderful shop, have a great range of Christmas cards & stationary very happy with my purchase. The girl on the tills were very helpful and took interest in helping me to decide what to purchase, I will definitely be returning.

One stop shop for buyers remorse. A rather extreme way to start a review. I am rather disapointed I have to do this but I feel it is important those of us with self respect take care. Over the past two days I have been searching for a retailer in Bath that carries fountain pens in particular those made by Lamy. I was delighted to find that Mayther does just that. Walked in on a Friday made my way to the counter where I was left to browse and try the pens. While am testing the Lamy pen which was already in an akward place I left as though I was blocking other customers however I need to test the thing before I pay an already marked up price tag. Next day I walk in having had a good think about it decided I would give my money to a retailer on the high street over online buying.. The service was HORRIBLE the ladies running the floor stood at the counter gossiping while I selected my pen. I was given no attention (not that I was really looking or asking for it but i find it to be a natural thing for the staff in a shop like this to take some interest.) I continue to look at pens while I listen to one of the members of staff tell a customer that the ribbon she asked for doesnt look good. I thought to myself that wasnt a very tactful way of doing it could have gone with a " Green is lovely we do also this which is a lovely match too.." It wasnt until after I made my purchase (I am very happy with the products no worries there) Only next time I will buy online cheaper and I wont have to deal with unprofessional staff. having to listen to your private gossip while i stand at the counter.. Not cool. Ihad to open the with a greeting and asking how are you. (Maybe I should apply for the role could bring back the human touch make the customer feel valued while getting them to spend?) Its a shame as I bought a fountain pen and I am building a collection of Inks which you sell. COuld have had me as a regular. Good health to you. Merry Holidays.
