Company bought over 2000 pounds worth of reclaimed Welsh slates. As past bad experience with them being rubbish we asked if we could sort them. Was told no an now trying to use them an average of four out of every ten are usable. The other six are fit for a skip and at 2.40 each really not very good.

Your never quite sure when you go to a reclamation yard, there is always an element of doubt and a feeling that you might get taken for ride, but I was delighted to find that Merthyr Salvage was professional from start to finish. I called them early in the morning to check availability of some floorboards I saw on the website, they confirmed that had them and other options. When I arrived, they took us over the to farm to see the boards and I was pleased to see that they were keep indoors and dry. They had a great range of tongue in groove, ship lap and straight edge, and let me take some samples back, once I had chosen the ones we wanted, they gave me a good price between Neil,John and Emma I got some great boards, ad a reasonable price with great service. Great Yard!
