Fabulous family spot for a picnic and a play in the river. We spent about an hour here enjoying the sunshine. The children played in the shallow river after we ate our picnic. There’s lots of parking but you might have to search or wait for a space. It’s a lovely environment to chill out.

A wonderful, picturesque, picnic / play / leisure spot alongside the River Leven in Great Ayton. Very popular, particularly in good weather with walkers, families etc. Close by, pubs, shops etc make this a great place for all types of leisure activities.
Nice quaint area to relax as a small family. Gets fairly busy during the summer and when the weather is fine, but almost always a patch of grass. Car parking spaces are less easily come by though, so get their early or find alternative parking.
Very pretty. Able to walk my dog along the river bank.
