I'd like to thank all the day and night staff who gave my mum ( Joan Ward) such thoughtful care when she was so poorly this weekend. Staff stayed with her some 7hrs waiting for an ambulance. ( I live in Shropshire sadly) On her return she was so warmly welcomed, mum felt that , 'she'd come home!' That says it all to me and makes me feel content that she is so happy at the Oaks! Thank you all.

Really pleasant helpful people, great atmosphere, the way a retirement home should be, 1st impressions matter, If I visit other retirement homes they'll have to come up to your standard. Man there was a great help loading with boxes and a smashing young lady made me a bostin cup of coffee, happy days. Everybody I encountered there was happy and pleasant, thankyou Andy

Iv been on bank at Nunthorpe oaks a few nights last month and I had a few concerns , I did attempt to go to the manager who wouldn’t even see me , even tho I told her I had concerns , iv refused to return back there. I found medication just left on residents tables in there rooms , drug trollies left open and one night I looked through the mar chart which was left on the top in the corridor and I found quiet a few missing signatures , I did inform a senior on days as the night senior told me it didn’t concern me and the day senior said they do have issues at the moment

Very disappointed with the high turnover of staff and the frequent understaffing which means that the appropriate level of care is not always being given to the residence. The carers are very pleasant but seem to be working under constant pressure due to understaffing. 12 months and sadly the situation is no better
