We've been to to Uno's many times before so thought we would take my in laws there and take advantage of the eat out to help out scheme. We arrived and were shown to a table, no one took our drinks order for half an hour, then half of the drinks were forgotten, a running theme of the night. We ordered food and when the starters arrived there was no cutlery for 5 minutes until we asked a server. there was a bone in my mother in law's salmon starter. We then waited half an hour between courses which is understandable with how busy, however the drinks we ordered again either didn't arrive or took a long time. When the mains arrived again there was no cutlery. The salmon and asparagus main had no asparagus and when we asked the server she didn't check with the kitchen and explained \they probably ran out of it.\ The mussels portion was the size of a starter, and some were cold. When the plates were cleared we weren't offered anymore drinks or desserts and had to ask to see the dessert menu, we were given one to share between 6 people and then left for another 15 minutes before we ordered. The desserts were frozen on the outside, dry and hot in the middle. Again there was no cutlery. At this point we gave up. We normally really like eating at Uno it's quick and easy but it seemed that they overbooked, understaffed because of eat out to help out. Overall it was really disappointing and not worth the money even with the eat out to help out scheme.

I went to this place on Valentine's day with my wife for the very first time. Nicely greeted on arrival by the host. The interior was ambient and welcoming. We opted for the 3 course Valentine's day menu at 21.95 per head. Starters (root vegetable soup and crab cakes) were great. However, that's where the good news ends. We then waited 45 minutes for the main course. Once it arrived, I was less than satisfied. The chicken tasted bland and overcooked. The lobster ravioli was undercooked and tasteless. The salmon was well made but not enough to constitute a main course. The chips never arrived, even after calling over the waiter to complain. The waitress offered to remove our drinks and desserts from the bill which was a nice gesture. However, I would have preferred to have left with a full stomach and fully satisfied. Needless to say, this would be our first and last visit to this Italian.
