We go most weeks to planet ice for ice skating and have a great time. Staff are lovely too! We've bought our own skates because of how frequently we go and they are much more comfortable than the hire boots. Shop onsite is very reasonable too.

I love this place. I’ve been skating for the last 6 weeks regularly and find that it is a great way to de-stress, keep fit, clear the mind. skating is a massive challenge, its so rewarding when you achieve even the smallest progress and there is so much to learn I wish I had started sooner (get your kids on the ice). Would recommend you get your own skates if even mildly interested (they don’t cost that much). Entry fees are ok and even better when you buy a pack of 6 and an ice card which is so worth it if you intend going regularly. Staff and especially on the ice are super helpful and are there top speed if you fall. They are also kind to me and others to share some of their ice wisdom. Bar is great and have attended a few hockey matches now which lift the roof with adrenaline (a must see!!). Friday night Sub zero is great as skating needs the lights and music to really lose yourself. Only down side is on the weekends I’ve attended they’ve cut a 3rd of the ice rink off to the public. It’s fine as it’s for parties etc, but makes the public side on a busy day the ice equivalent of the M25 at rush hour.

Really worth going here. The skates are a bit uncomfortable but do the job. Great afternoon with half decent covid management in place.

Fantastic day out for kids, especially if weather is not too great. Quite busy but still great fun. Papa Jones pizza afterward really tasty. Weekend prices quite high.
