Was closed when we visited but I can see how this would be interesting to people wanting to find out more about the history of the area. We passed it whilst exploring the moors and is close to the car park.

A great free day out. We went when it was nice and sunny. It was great to walk in the beautiful country side and take it all in.Make sure you take the time to go and check out the famous cheese ring. Definitely worth a visit if in Cornwall.

Fascinating place, looks like another old tin mine ruin from a distance but it's actually been turned into a small visitors centre. It explains the history of mining in the area and has some interesting facts. Only 10-15 minutes worth of reading but a great place to stop off

Housed in an engine house, an interesting little exhibition of the tin and copper mining industry in the area as well as the more general history and ecology of the moors.Illustrates the location of the various bits of an engine too, which is useful. Self guided and free. A short walk down an old railway track from the Minions car park.

A well presented explanation of the local history. A great use of a historic building. But not an attraction in itself.

I love going here, probably ever 2 days to walk the dog, I think she would agree with me if she could talk. The kids love going into the old building and looking at all the information of their heritage. It's nice to see the moors full of life also, it can get a bit wet and windy but that the fun part.
