Have just shopped at the Cowdenbeath store this morning and am so amazed at how helpful the staff were. I was to buy a seasoning called 'Aromat' I had never heard of this before and looked in the sauces, seasoning aisle and could not find it. I asked the butcher, who had never heard of it either but he willingly went down the aisle helping me to look for it. I eventually got to the checkout with quite a large amount in my trolley and realised that I'd left all my bags in the boot of the car. The lady on the checkout , Moira, was so obliging and she put my stuff on the checkout while I went out for my bags. I happened to mention to her if she knew what Aromat was but sadly she didn't. I was beginning to think I'd been given the wrong name for the product. Moira happened to mention to another rmember of staff, Jane, who after checking the computer said that Morrisons did have it and it was in aisle 5. Another member of staff went and got it for me. I paid for it separately at the kiosk at the door and the 2 members of staff there were so friendly, Helen and Kirsty. It was such a pleasant surprise to have staff so helpful and friendly. These staff members went out of their way to help and I'm sorry to say competitive stores do not do this. Some checkout operators don't even lift their head to look at the customer . Well done Cowdenbeath Morrisons you have gone that extra mile today. Thank you And if anyone is looking for Aromat it's in aisle 5 beside the salt :-)
Shop very clean and well stocked. Some great bargains at end of the day, reductions are huge. My only complaint is staff generally don't wear masks, even when stocking shelfs. I witnessed 2 staff members restocking fruit and vegetables, both coughed while doing it. I know staff are exempt but should only be exempt when not handling produce.
