Handy place to go to pick up bits and pieces for walking camping adventure hiking but for my taste for the quality of the equipment I feel it's a little expensive Saying that I'm a stickler for hunting deal So some people may disagreeon the basis of looking at the store and similar stores to it rather than hunting through army surplus online and so on

Purchased 2 sleeping bags from here today. One was a “top of the range” - duck filled, expedition sleeping bag which had an original price ticket, of nearly 300. Thankfully it was drastically reduced, but I still wanted more information and help on my choice than was offered by the shop assistant, who spoke poor English. As it was way out of reach on a top shelf (obviously to deter thieves), the assistant had to get step ladders to retrieve it. He seemed reluctant to open the stuff sack that contained the bag to show it to me. There was an almost identical bag next to it (at the same price), but of slightly less technical specification; and it wasn’t easy to choose between the two because of little advice imparted by the sales assistant. Would’ve liked some technical advice but there didn’t seem to be any qualified staff on hand - only young assistants eager to take your money and offer items that were on sale for “half price with any purchase”. I genuinely feel that if you’re going to sell top of the range, high quality/technical goods - then you should have the product knowledge and offer as much information as you can; to prospective customers.

Great cheap store if you want this kind of outdoor clothing and accessories, however store a bit small and so doesn't have enough variety or stock.
