I do not hate this museum and art gallery. It is just that it is closed as well as the library for the next two years whilst building works are completed. The library is going to be relocated in the Royal Victoria shopping centre. It will reopen mid November.

Lived here for many years. Town has a richness of history, culture, leisure, eating, drinking, art, parks, gardens indoor/outdoor activities, great shopping & sport for everyone from young to young at heart

It's always nice to learn something new about the area in which you reside. That's where the museum and gallery comes in handy. Admittedly some of the staff seem miserable half the time, but on the rare occasion, you do get a smile.

With regular and diverse exhibitions, carefully displayed local history and friendly staff, The museum is a must visit in the town. Kids will love it. There is plenty for them to see and do. As a Tunbridge Wells local, I regularly visit to see the new exhibitions and revisit my favourite pieces of Our towns history.

Great little museum with super friendly staff! I've got a zealous 3 old boy who was, making his voice heard, when I apologised too the staff member she said 'don't worry its a museum not a library!'...she then pointed out the brilliant interactive exhibits. Thank you

A bit nonplussed to be honest! I don't think the website's boasts of having an art gallery are doing it any favours. A room with a couple of dolls houses and 2 (nonfunctional, doesn't anyone take pride in presentation these days?) torches doesn't do it for me. We thought we had come to the wrong floor and asked the museum lady but she confirmed thats all there was. There are some nice works of art within the museum across the landing but in all not, I think, enough to justify its claim to be an art gallery
