I can’t recommend Vernon at My Best Friend Burntwood enough! Dash my 1 year old Miniature Dachshund has recently started attending day care once a week and I couldn’t be happier with the service we have received. Vernon is friendly, professional, knowledgable and has been super accommodating to our needs, going above and beyond to care for our Pup. While Dash is at My Best Friends we receive updates and pictures throughout the day, and a final daily report in the evening. It’s so reassuring to see my doggy having so much fun, looking so relaxed and at home. The dogs have access to beautiful facilities across the garden and home, we frequently receive pictures of Dash curled up on their sofa after a full day of fun. It’s a real ‘home from home’ setting. Plus a great location for local walks through Gentleshaw Common/ Chasewater/ Castle Ring. Dash always returns home content and absolutely shattered! Since starting at doggy day care we have noticed Dash is more confident when out and about interacting with new people and other dogs. I really wouldn’t entrust anyone else with the care of my fur baby, I’m so glad we found Vernon at My Best Friend Burntwood! Thank you for caring for Dash.
I would not hesitate to recommend My Best Friend. Our Shadow really loves his walks with Vernon he literally runs out the door and jumps into Vernon’s Van. The photos and report that you receive after every walk leave no doubt that Shadow has had a great walk.
Veron and Jan are super helpful and accommodating with any requests I have when it comes to Doggy day care for my dog. I think my dog prefers it there than at home with us! Well priced and never worry knowing Dennis is being well looked after while I'm at work. Dennis is always shattered when he comes home, has his dinner and then snuggles down on the sofa and that's him done.
I have a new puppy and have been sending her to Vernon and the lovely Jan for about 6 weeks now. She has settled in really well with them and sometimes doesn’t want to leave! Vernon sends me regular videos and pictures via WhatsApp and is shows how much energy she is burning off having fun with her new friends. There is a really flexible approach to pick up and drop offs and I’m so pleased I decided to go with them. I now have a really confident dog who is very sociable with other bigger dogs. What I probably like the most is her funny little school report at the end of each day which lets me know how she has got on.
What an amazing daycare service, I get photo and video updates throughout the day and a full report with photos at the end of the day. It’s so lovely to see my beagle playing with his doggy pals and having great fun on his walks and in the garden. I feel extremely confident in leaving my dog in Vernon’s care and I know how much my pup loves it by how he races to say hello to Vernon as soon as he sees him.
I came across My Best Friend Daycare whilst searching online for someone to walk my dog. I wasn’t aware of the company but I contacted them and left my details. I was promptly contacted Vernon who arranged a time to meet and greet Leo at his house. We got on so well straight away! Leo is a 4 month old Belgian Malinois, a high drive breed that constantly needs stimulation and firm behaviour expectations. He currently goes to Vernon 2 days a week and I honestly think he loves it there more than his own home! Every time we pull up to his house, Leo is dragging me to the door ready to go inside. Vernon keeps me up to date with a service report at the end of each day to inform me what kind of day he’s had along with some pictures - for the first couple of weeks he also sent me a text message so I knew he was settling in fine! Vernon’s extensive experience with a range of dogs has given me the trust and safety to allow Leo to go - it’s honestly the nicest feeling knowing that your pup is with someone he feels safe with and that he’s being well looked after. I never expected the quality of care for Leo when I first signed up. Vernon and his wife love and respect all dogs in their care, allowing them to have snuggles on the sofa, walks round the local area boasting lots of hills and fields, lots of toys to play with and even birthday parties for birthdays! I honestly can’t recommend Vernon enough for anyone looking for a safe and secure daycare for their four legged friend. It’s a joy to see Leo to have made such a great bond with someone!
Shirley Basset, our 4 month old Basset Hound has been attending doggy daycare since before Christmas. She absolutely loves going and it gives us peace of mind whilst we are at work that she is cared for in such a nice environment. We love receiving our ‘pupdates’ whilst at work and then the detailed school report via email in the evening. Professional, friendly and reliable. We would fully recommend!
