Great place but also very creepy. Feel that the animals are suddenly going to come to life...

Absolutely fantastic. You can easily spend a whole day here. The collection is just amazing. Staff a great, very welcoming and engaging. There are pen pots, paper and clip boards to hand so drawings can be undertaken as you browse the different galleries. For this museum to be free is so generous, there is now an electronic card reader for donations at the entrance, I do hope people tap on the way through to keep this museum open.

A fantastic and unique museum experience. Highly recommended for anyone, and especially families with young children. I'd check out a few pictures of the exhibits, though, before you go - and particularly if anyone in your group isn't keen on taxidermy.

Excellent place for both the kids and the adults. Interesting museum with lots to see. Great little quiz for the kids to do. Be prepared for no parking as always busy, so you may have a walk from the centre of Tring car parks. Great little cafe too for cake and coffee! Recommend.

Ensure you leave enough time to do all the floors of this remarkable Natural History Museum at Tring. Founded by the Rothschilds and now open to the public, you can see Walter Rothschild's amazing collections that he built up throughout his lifetime. Sadly, his bird collection was sold in 1931 due to a personal crisis which forced him to sell the collection to the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.

What a place. Really loved our experience here and just so much to see. We will be coming back for a second visit as there was simply not enough time for us to see it all. 5 star experience! Thank you.

Brilliant museum, great if you love animals, birds, bones and unusual things. Very interesting for all. Amazing building full of wonder. Car parking available for free and just a ting walk to the museum entrance. Free. Open most days. They have a cafe too and outside seating. Lifts to get upto the next galleries.

This is an absolutely must visit place. Fascinating collection of birds, bugs and giant sloths. Whilst taxidermy is a weird British pastime, this Rothschild collection is very educational with a great walk in the park adjacent to follow.
