I am a final year student at New College of the Humanities, studying the single-honours Law LLB. The teaching has been second to none at NCH. I receive weekly lectures and fortnightly seminars in all of my modules and even from my first week at NCH, my classes were no bigger than 11 students. We then have 2 one-to-one tutorials per module per term, which is a 45 minute/1 hour opportunity to submit a formative essay and have it marked, with the whole slot dedicated to improving your essay technique and discussing the topic as a whole. The opportunities to build up your CV whilst studying are endless. For me as an aspiring solicitor originally, getting internships and onto law firm open days was really important for me. The LAUNCH programme taught me the broad skills needed to thrive in the workplace as well as one-to-one help with my CV and interview skills. We even had the opportunity to attend a mock assessment centre, which is a common application stage for many graduate roles. The main thing which makes NCH special for me is the caring and interested nature of the staff in the students. They really go out of their way to introduce you to a person, find time to go for a coffee and a chat or help you catch up when you've missed a class.

I really don't get the bad reviews from people who have never been there. They offer very generous scholarships and bursaries and offer way more than any UK institution in terms of contact hours, student/ staff ratios (my lectures are 5:1) and work load. Highly esteemed in the business world with their professional business programme that you do alongside your degree (LAUNCH) inc live case studies and specialised training and workshops

New College of the Humanities (NCH) stands as the greatest structural adjustment to the British higher education system since the development of the Academy in Plato's Ancient Greece. Two millennia down the line, A.C. Grayling, pioneer, visionary and philosopher-extraordinaire stands at the helm of this venture. The NCH students are gladiators amidst serfs and peasantry, ascending through the acquisition of knowledge so that one day they shall dine amongst the gods; Grayling, of course, acting as our figurative Zeus. The age of the axis of evil draws to an end, salvation is nigh. Apply.
