Great farm shop and great staff. Simple entry system of 1in1out when max capacity reached. Foods fresh and always stocked. The pasties are the best!!!

Only giving one star as zero not available. Bought strawberries yesterday as dessert for guests last night. When opened all looked fine until I took one out, the bottom not just off but furry. On examination nearly all the same. (photo attached). This not the first time. Last time not AS bad, left it as one of those things that happen. Just phoned Manager to explain & the reaction was a silence then \hmmmphhh do you still have them?\. I pointed out the economics of driving from Lymington to Bashly Cross with a punnet of strawberries .He then asked for a receipt. I then pointed out that I don't keep receipts from some bacon a loaf & strawberries. His reply was that in that case there was nothing he could do!. I could produce evidence of card payment on next statement but it probably still not proof enough! I let him know my thoughts robustly. Legally fine. Customer service humms...like my strawberries. Moral for customer: Check his fruit isn't rotten underneath & keep a receipt for everything. Moral for Fernedean: A sorry would have helped & a half decent attitude from the \manager\ to a polite complaint would have retained a customer who has shopped there for over 5 years. I would't go back now for golden pig. Oh nearly forgot. No \sell by\ dates to be seen....If you are quick you may see a \Manager \ checking his stock .

Social distancing was questionable amongst some customers as well as one member of staff who seemed happy push her way through to stock the fridges. Perhaps more attention to directing people in this small space. Didn't feel safe.

Visit the farm shop most weekends when lockdown allows but have always found the products on sale top class. I do not like apricot or chestnut but the festive chipolatas are absolutely delicious and totally recommended to everyone. They are meaty with a sweet taste. Excellent.

OMG!!!! You really have to shop here and taste the difference in flavour in their vegetables and meat. You can tell that most supermarket meat and veg has travelled too many miles!.
