Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. I have gone in several times to find references for my qualification, and not only are they happy to guide me to the best resources, they can help me with their own personal experiences they do. Also amazing with my child, they go out their way to help us find the right info on whatever the current hyper interest is. As a result we have both learnt a lot, in a much friendlier and more personal way than just being online.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. New book releases available. I love the library....It's like going shopping for free! (I do know that our taxes pay for it).

Small, friendly library with great staff. Sometimes a bit limited in choice as they seldom stock an author's full works but otherwise a good asset for the town.

A year or so ago I gave this Library 5 stars. Now, regretfully I am only prepared to give it 2. Yes, the Library remains open when so many others have closed and the staff are still excellent. However after an extensive renovation many non-fiction sections have been moved to the upper floor. But there is no lift!!! If you know the book you want from upstairs, the staff will find it for you or make suggestions. But if you just want to browse you will have to cope with steep sets of stairs to view books on gardening, literature, science, languages, sport, local history, science fiction, teen interests or computing (although the computer desks remain on the ground floor downstairs). If you are reliant on a buggy you are plainly discriminated against. The children's area has moved downstairs to ground level. This means that the voices of excited tots can become a distraction if you are trying to concentrate and work on one of the IT stations or read at the reference desks. I understand that these changes are under review and I really hope that Hampshire County Council will have a re-think. The Library is no longer as disabled friendly as it should be. Finally, and this a personal opinion, the ground floor design is just ugly. So no marks at all HCC from me for this costly refurbishment. (What I said before: I have known this library for 50 years and during this time they have had to cope with a lot of changes. But throughout the staff have always been friendly and helpful. Yes, the non-fiction side, which I mostly use, has been reduced but other facilities have been introduced. But the main reason I give 5 stars is that it is still run by employed library staff who remain enthusiastic about the use and value of a local library. I hope this will continue and the library will survive any Council cuts.)

Very helpful mostly. Did not have a lot of books I wanted.
